A Festive Hill Country Tradition in the Heart of New Braunfels
The holidays have a special way of bringing people together at Meyer Ranch. As lights begin to twinkle across our Hill Country community and neighbors gather for cherished seasonal traditions, there’s an undeniable feeling of warmth that settles in. From family-friendly celebrations to local markets and live music, Meyer Ranch truly shines this time of year, and this year’s festivities kicked off with an event to remember.
Deck the Halls Holiday Market: A Cheer-Filled Start to the Season
On Saturday, November 15, Meyer Ranch welcomed more than 200 attendees to our annual Deck the Halls Holiday Market, transforming the Community Green and The Hall into a festive wonderland as guests enjoyed a joyful afternoon of shopping, music, food, and holiday magic.
Photos With Santa in The Hall
Families lined up for the chance to meet Santa himself, and The Hall was filled with excited children, twinkling holiday décor, and plenty of camera flashes as guests captured memories to treasure. Santa’s visit continues to be one of the most special traditions of the event, and this year’s turnout made it clear: our community loves the jolly old fellow.

Live Music on the Community Green Stage
Local favorite Colton’s Kin filled the afternoon with festive tunes and Hill Country charm, creating the perfect backdrop for browsing, relaxing, and enjoying the crisp November air. Their performance kept the energy bright and cheerful as families mingled on the lawn.
Delicious Eats From Local Food Trucks
No holiday market is complete without good food, and this year’s trucks delivered. From savory bites to sweet treats, there was something for every craving. Guests enjoyed lunch, snacks, and warm drinks as they shopped and explored.
A Holiday Market Full of Local Treasures
More than 20 local vendors set up shop, offering a curated selection of handcrafted goods, artisan products, boutique finds, holiday décor, and seasonal treats. Visitors had the perfect opportunity to get a head start on their shopping while supporting small businesses and makers from all around the Hill Country.

With its lively vendor village, festive atmosphere, and strong community turnout, Deck the Halls once again showcased what makes Meyer Ranch such a vibrant place to call home. And for visitors dreaming about making the move, our builder teams welcomed prospective buyers to tour model homes and learn more about the special year-end savings happening now.
Holiday Happenings Around New Braunfels
If you’re looking to call New Braunfels home, you may have already heard that it has a reputation for unique events that put a distinctly Texas twist on the city’s German heritage.
While the community itself is always abuzz with activities this time of year, the holiday spirit doesn’t stop at Meyer Ranch – New Braunfels is home to some of the region’s most beloved seasonal celebrations. Here are just a few events you won’t want to miss:
Wassailfest
A longstanding New Braunfels favorite, Wassailfest brings the community together for free wassail tastings, festive lights, and music from local school choirs. Attendees can sample dozens of unique wassail recipes, from sweet and spicy to bright and fruity, as they stroll downtown shops and enjoy holiday cheer.
Gruene Town Lighting & Cowboy Kringle
Every year, the historic town of Gruene glows to life as Cowboy Kringle rides in on horseback to light the town and pass out candy canes. With live music, a charming street performance, and a warm, small-town atmosphere, this event is a true Hill Country tradition.
Jingle Jolly Christmas Festival
Celebrate hometown Christmas magic with snow flurries, choir performances, an Elf Village marketplace, holiday treats, craft stations, and more. Families can enjoy pictures with Santa, contests, a huge Christmas tree, and shopping from more than 150 local vendors.
Christmas at the Caverns
Looking for a truly unique holiday memory? Experience Christmas like nowhere else at the Natural Bridge Caverns, where you’ll hear carols echo through Texas’ largest underground cavern, visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, navigate the reindeer maze, stroll through an expanded trail of lights, and enjoy the synthetic ice-skating rink.
