Costco and Sprouts Coming Soon!
Two new highly anticipated retailers are coming soon to New Braunfels. Costco and Sprouts Farmers Market are set to open near Meyer Ranch in 2026. They will both bring fresh food options and everyday convenience to the once hidden gem of the Texas Hill Country.
Get ready to spend less time driving for essentials and more time enjoying life with your family and friends in the beautiful Texas Hill Country.

Stock-Up Shopping Made Easy
The long-awaited membership-only retailer Costco will soon be open, giving you convenient access to their famous $1.50 hot dog combo and competitively priced fuel station. Located 23 miles away from Meyer Ranch, the $37 million warehouse is set to be the anchor for more retail and recreational amenities for New Braunfels. Families will also not have to wait much longer for its opening as Costco has announced it is set to open its doors in April 2026.
A Fresh Way to Shop is Here
Adding more everyday convenience, Sprouts Farmers Market has recently opened its first Comal County location. The store is located in the Creekside Town Center, only 16 miles away from Meyer Ranch. Sprouts has become one of the largest specialty retailers of fresh, natural, and organic food nationwide, making healthy living affordable and accessible.
Sprouts also offers special deals on certain days such as $5 sushi Wednesdays and their famous $5 sandwiches from Sprouts’ Deli.
Bringing Convenience Right to Your Doorstep
Costco and Sprouts are bringing more than just fresh food options to New Braunfels. Both stores represent a major step forward for the city’s economy. This once hidden gem in the Texas Hill Country has quickly become a thriving boom town and has successfully executed their strategy to boost the region’s infrastructure and community appeal.
Both stores are set to bring hundreds of new jobs to the city while increasing local spending. Sprouts has welcomed 92 full- and part-time employees and Costco is predicted to bring around 150 career opportunities.
Costco’s retail sector, in particular, has been a major source of retail leakage for New Braunfels. With the opening of a local Costco, the estimated $77 million a year that residents once spent outside the city can now stay in the local economy, supporting businesses and community investments.
Recent additions to the economy such as the opening of Top Golf in late 2025 have also reinforced the city’s position as a top destination for families and businesses.
